Edson Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaudencio Gervaso having to make a save. In the 22nd minute of the match Grêmio Papão de WC got a corner. Onagoity AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edson Faria ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Grêmio Papão de WC's Jâninho Melo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gaudencio Gervaso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gedeon Káposztás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Gervaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Rolando Sidro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaudencio Gervaso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 45th minute. Gaudencio Gervaso was a little too slow when Gedeon Káposztás got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Sidro was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gedeon Káposztás notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Onagoity AFC's Gaudencio Gervaso. Gaudencio Gervaso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Sidro in the 60th minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Gedeon Káposztás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Gervaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes in the game, Gedeon Káposztás dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. But to his dismay, Gedeon Káposztás quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Sidro in the 70th minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Onagoity AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gedeon Káposztás came free, but Gaudencio Gervaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Perrando kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Onagoity AFC's goalkeeper Gaudencio Gervaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edson Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Gervaso having to interfere. Onagoity AFC made a substitution. Justo Cayo replaced Nestor Hug. Gaudencio Gervaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gedeon Káposztás in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 minutes Onagoity AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edson Faria who took care of the corner kick. Justo Cayo came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andréas Linquist could save by the left post. Onagoity AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
