In the 4th minute Victorino Mogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Salamon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes Soflov FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiburcio Honrio who took care of the corner kick. In the 7th minute, Soflov FC's Feliks Nieruchliwy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Mino in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Salamon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Honrio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Soflov FC's Marco Domeka quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Tama booed when Soflov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Suibhne Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Tama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suibhne Ghee couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Mikelats during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Soflov FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliks Nieruchliwy, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Patricio Salamon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Suibhne Ghee in the 24th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Felipe Mino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soflov FC's Patricio Salamon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Feliks Nieruchliwy might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Medardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliks Nieruchliwy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Felipe Mino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Tama were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Mino to make the kick off.
