In the 3rd minute Ivan Xabier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Nordlet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute Júbilo Iwata were awarded a corner. Chico Mendonça went to the cornerflag to take it. Chico Mendonça made a great header on Júbilo Iwata's corner, it was just that Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet managed to reach the ball for a save. 8 minutes into the match, Júbilo Iwata's goalkeeper Giovanni Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elmar Lexbo. Giovanni Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Lexbo in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Jerônimo Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Júbilo Iwata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovanni Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bent Streyder's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When Sílvio Luís Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Júbilo Iwata's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Júbilo Iwata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Elmar Lexbo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovanni Pena, 2-0. Bent Streyder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Giovanni Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristan Nordlet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Mangueira in the 30th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Holmkjar Hotspurs's Bent Streyder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giovanni Pena. That made the score 3-0 after 43 minutes of play. With a little luck, Júbilo Iwata's Giovanni Pena got control of the ball when Bent Streyder tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerônimo Mangueira was the one to do the kick off. Júbilo Iwata's Giovanni Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bent Streyder in the 58th minute of play. Giovanni Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Lexbo in the 61st minute of the match. Jerônimo Mangueiras short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Tristan Nordlet to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bent Streyder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Pena having to interfere. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Kurd Frydenholt replaced Sigfrid Eildorf. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Magnus Steinwart was substituted for Bent Streyder. Magnus Steinwart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Pena having to interfere. Magnus Steinwart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Júbilo Iwata's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ove Makenhauer was slow to take the kick. During this time Holmkjar Hotspurs's players had a chance to rest. Ove Makenhauer made a great header on Holmkjar Hotspurs's corner, it was just that Júbilo Iwata's Giovanni Pena managed to reach the ball for a save. 88 minutes into the match, Júbilo Iwata's goal looked a bit too open when Elmar Lexbo came free, but Giovanni Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match Holmkjar Hotspurs got a corner. Júbilo Iwata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ove Makenhauer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ove Makenhauer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Giovanni Pena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Holmkjar Hotspurs fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Holmkjar Hotspurs's Magnus Steinwart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Holmkjar Hotspurs had won after a very even match.
