Pero Šiljak hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Baptista in the 15th minute of play. Mátyás Lisztes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Baptista in the 17th minute of play. Mátyás Lisztes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Julio Baptista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mátyás Lisztes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emesto Muñagorri in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Ramos saved JEC - FC from getting behind. Carlos Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Varga in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Varga to make the kick off. Roland Varga hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Julio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mátyás Lisztes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lajos Keresztesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60thth minute of the game Julio Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Julio Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mátyás Lisztes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mátyás Lisztes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lajos Keresztesi charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lajos Keresztesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Emesto Muñagorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JEC - FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Lajos Keresztesi scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Ramos, making the score, 4-1. Mátyás Lisztes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute of the match JEC - FC got a corner. Szolnoki MÁV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Liu Xiang Zhen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on JEC - FC's corner Liu Xiang Zhen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mátyás Lisztes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 95th minute Ricardinho Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mátyás Lisztes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mátyás Lisztes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Szolnoki MÁV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JEC - FC.
