The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arvin Ljungberg got a throw-in 3 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alexander Nilsson. Estevão Benevides struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Du Chong Le didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT. Du Chong Le showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estevão Benevides in the 7th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Djurgården IF defense, Marcelo Cordero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Du Chong Le. The Djurgården IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Du Chong Le should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Du Chong Le narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Du Chong Le didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Cordero went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute Martín Ferreyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Chong Le saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Martín Ferreyra notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le. Du Chong Le was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Martín Ferreyra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 32nd minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Marcelo Cordero made a precise shot to the right of Du Chong Le. Djurgården IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Marcelo Cordero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 42nd minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcelo Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Du Chong Le made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Djurgården IF got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Van Houdtvinck. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Zbigniew Fiszer got a free kick in the 50th minute. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Djurgården IF's Alexander Nilsson managed to work through Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alexander Nilsson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Du Chong Le made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Cordero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Du Chong Le. That made the score 0-7 in the 62 minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Martín Ferreyra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Du Chong Le narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Du Chong Le made a huge save. Du Chong Le showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Magne Pihlberg fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården IF's protests and gave Magne Pihlberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT booed when Djurgården IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Pihlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Maximo Bertol was substituted for Estevão Benevides. In the 77th minute of the match Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT got a corner. Djurgården IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martín Ferreyra ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Martín Ferreyra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Du Chong Le quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 78th minute Zheng Jing Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Chong Le saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Jing Feng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Du Chong Le having to make a save. Du Chong Le made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zheng Jing Feng in the 80th minute. Leonard Purcarus short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Du Chong Le to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Du Chong Le made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Zheng Jing Feng sent off a good shot on target. Djurgården IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Zheng Jing Feng scored to the left of an out of position Du Chong Le, making the score, 0-8. 94 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zheng Jing Feng. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
