After a rather tough play, JEC - FC's Juvenal Britto got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the game, JEC - FC's Geovani Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harm Rooy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Bruno Zuidema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute.
