The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, ANAHA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodney Watkinson came free, but Firmin Négrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, Ludovic Guillois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nilmar Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Ibañez in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Francisco Ibañez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Ponc in the 13th minute of play. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Ibañez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Rodney Watkinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanek Walczyk in the 20th minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Nilmar Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Cléberson Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Firmin Négrel. ANAHA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléberson Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Justino Arixo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Ibañez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firmin Négrel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Cléberson Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, ANAHA FC's Francisco Ibañez got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Nilmar Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Ibañez in the 41st minute of the match. With 41 minutes on the clock, Malcolm Barkley commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 43 minutes into the game, Francisco Ibañez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nilmar Brasil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodney Watkinson to make the kick off. Francisco Ibañez took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilmar Brasil. Nilmar Brasil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nilmar Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Walczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Francisco Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ANAHA FC's Dudu Georgescu was substituted for Francisco Ibañez. When Rodney Watkinson fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham Rovers's protests and gave Rodney Watkinson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Arixo during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Justino Arixo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nilmar Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludovic Guillois in the 75th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cayetano Ponc got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-4. 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ANAHA FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
