Pranas Užkuraitis started the match with the kick off. Basilio Jobo made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Pranas Užkuraitis sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pranas Užkuraitis got free with Basilio Jobo in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ranko Kvarantan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlethico Talleres's zone, Pranas Užkuraitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Jobo came out of the goal and Pranas Užkuraitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pranas Užkuraitis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Basilio Jobo made a huge save. A collision led to Batalhão do Peçanha getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vânderson Vasconcelos hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Vânderson Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Jobo skillfully saved the ball. Club Atlethico Talleres's Basilio Jobo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlethico Talleres from getting a goal against them. After 26 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Christian Min. Epaminondas Baba came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Basilio Jobo could save by the left post. Club Atlethico Talleres's Basilio Jobo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlethico Talleres from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Tróia hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 40 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Cloyo. When Batalhão do Peçanha's Pranas Užkuraitis in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlethico Talleres's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filomeno Pasqual was the one to do the kick off. Basilio Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Basilio Jobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epaminondas Baba in the 58th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Batalhão do Peçanha got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Inocente. Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Pasqual in the 60th minute of play. Batalhão do Peçanha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Filomeno Pasqual scored to the left of an out of position Petr Čech, making the score, 1-1. 69 minutes into the game, Pranas Užkuraitis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Basilio Jobo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute Pranas Užkuraitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stéphane Ballon hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ernesto Estavan sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Estavan. Club Atlethico Talleres's attack was well implemented in the 78th minute, but when Ernesto Estavan was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Tróia in the 85th minute of play forced Club Atlethico Talleres's goalkeeper Basilio Jobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pranas Užkuraitis came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Batalhão do Peçanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pranas Užkuraitis couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Arnoldo Orgaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 minutes of play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Pranas Užkuraitis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Jobo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Batalhão do Peçanha had won after a very even match.
