The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Segelbut IF U21's goalkeeper Cornel Luncaniță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano De Bruyne. Cornel Luncaniță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Ekelund in the 11th minute of play forced Leão de Judá's goalkeeper Charlie Hennenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Alf Ekelund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leão de Judá's Charlie Hennenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Alf Ekelund put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Charlie Hennenberg. Charlie Hennenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Munio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute of the match, Bernardinho de Brito tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cornel Luncaniță saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Segelbut IF U21's Cornel Luncaniță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Segelbut IF U21 from getting a goal against them. Leão de Judá's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cesinha Pitta in the 34th minute. The corner led Leão de Judá's Freddy Rincón to fire away a dangerous shot which Cornel Luncaniță despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Charlie Hennenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Munio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Segelbut IF U21's Rickard Lind got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho de Brito in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Luncaniță saved Segelbut IF U21 from getting behind. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Segelbut IF U21's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cesinha Pitta was slow to take the kick. During this time Leão de Judá's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Caetano De Bruyne made the kick off in the second half. Soner Kınıkaslan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Charlie Hennenberg made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Alf Ekelund sent off a good shot on target. Cornel Luncaniță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho de Brito in the 63rd minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Leão de Judá's Bernardinho de Brito made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornel Luncaniță was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Charlie Hennenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Segelbut IF U21 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Segelbut IF U21 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
