After a defensive mix-up in LA DEL MONO's zone, Karl-Michael Brask stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Betadur came out of the goal and Karl-Michael Brask tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Karl-Michael Brask who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 49 minutes LA DEL MONO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paul Stoian who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of LA DEL MONO's goalie and right to Xerxes Doro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. LA DEL MONO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
