Henk Veerman scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelinho Barral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Çakır Alyakut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ksawery Winnicki in the 12th minute of play. Marcelinho Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Veerman went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 21st minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk Veerman struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Marcelinho Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1930 Bafraspor. In the 26th minute Henk Veerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henk Veerman in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelinho Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hulk Speed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Çakır Alyakut made a huge save. In the 36thth minute of the game Hulk Speed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1930 Bafraspor's Çakır Alyakut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When 1930 Bafraspor's Henk Veerman in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Roceira SC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of 1930 Bafraspor booed when Roceira SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Henk Veerman made the kick off in the second half. In the 84th match minute, Roceira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Marcelinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rıdvan Balıkçı might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rıdvan Balıkçı ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Rıdvan Balıkçı reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelinho Barral. The goal made the score 1-7. The 1930 Bafraspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1930 Bafraspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
