Hazar Hayırlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Cummings, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Ogün Akkoç in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Friggle FC's Andrea Cameli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Cummings in the 13th minute of play forced MALATYASPOR's goalkeeper Hazar Hayırlı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Friggle FC got a corner. MALATYASPOR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rex Jackson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Urban Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dale Cummings might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hazar Hayırlı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Cummings ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, MALATYASPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Cummings came free, but Hazar Hayırlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dale Cummings came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Friggle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Cummings couldn't finish the play. Dale Cummings scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hazar Hayırlı, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, MALATYASPOR's Juan Neron got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes MALATYASPOR got a freekick which was hit by Rafet Özakıncı. After having played for 30 minutes, Rex Jackson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Friggle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rex Jackson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, MALATYASPOR's Ogün Akkoç got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Friggle FC booed when MALATYASPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hazar Hayırlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Cummings in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Dale Cummings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hazar Hayırlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Friggle FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Çağlar Vefik to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dale Cummings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hazar Hayırlı was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Friggle FC's Rex Jackson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hazar Hayırlı. Dale Cummings blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hazar Hayırlı having to make a save. Friggle FC's Amedeo Verdecchia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ogün Akkoç, made in the 65th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the game, Nurkan Türksan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Friggle FC's Amedeo Verdecchia quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Urban Ekström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Friggle FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hazar Hayırlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Voltri, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Nurkan Türksan in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Friggle FC's Amedeo Verdecchia. After a defensive mix-up in MALATYASPOR's zone, Robert Voltri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hazar Hayırlı came out of the goal and Robert Voltri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Urban Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Friggle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Urban Ekström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hazar Hayırlı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, MALATYASPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Voltri came free, but Hazar Hayırlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of MALATYASPOR:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Friggle FC:s goal. The referee gave Friggle FC a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rex Jackson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MALATYASPOR's Hazar Hayırlı. 0-5. After a rather tough play, Friggle FC's Peter Hunter got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Peter Hunter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urban Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hazar Hayırlı having to interfere. With a little luck, MALATYASPOR's Hazar Hayırlı got control of the ball when Peter Hunter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hazar Hayırlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Hunter in the 98th minute.
