The supporters of FV Wienerwald booed when KARŞIYAKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gencay Türker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Ralf Szüczs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emre Kurtuluş showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Szüczs in the 12th minute of play forced KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Emre Kurtuluş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anfilogino Alfonsi scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emre Kurtuluş, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emre Kurtuluş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Szüczs, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 23rd minute, Sascha Pichorner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes of play, FV Wienerwald's Ralf Szüczs made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emre Kurtuluş was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, KARŞIYAKA's Binali Baysal got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Ralf Szüczs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emre Kurtuluş was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Hamilton Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to KARŞIYAKA getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Binali Baysal hit a great ball. Marcel Mallinger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edson Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Reichert kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Anfilogino Alfonsi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Emre Kurtuluş made a huge save. In the 64th minute Anfilogino Alfonsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emre Kurtuluş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, FV Wienerwald's Felix Hanschirik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emre Kurtuluş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. FV Wienerwald's Célio Nogueira was substituted for Anfilogino Alfonsi. In the 72ndth minute of the game Per Nienhaus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KARŞIYAKA's Emre Kurtuluş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Per Nienhaus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emre Kurtuluş. That made the score 1-6 in the 74 minute of play. FV Wienerwald's Klaus Adolphi was substituted for Andreas Trautermann. Emre Kurtuluş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to FV Wienerwald getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Steffen Eisenheld hit a great ball. Göktan Çiltay kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Per Nienhaus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emre Kurtuluş came out and tried to block the shot, but Per Nienhaus slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 85th minute. FV Wienerwald's Ralf Szüczs got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Nienhaus in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emre Kurtuluş saved KARŞIYAKA from getting behind. Emre Kurtuluş came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FV Wienerwald's Per Nienhaus. But to his dismay, Per Nienhaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-9. FV Wienerwald played a much better game than KARŞIYAKA and deserved their victory. The KARŞIYAKA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
