In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Glenn Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Aurelio Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergen Sergen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Michel Cremers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jay Jowsey was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Sergen Sergen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sergen Sergen in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelio Rexino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Jay Jowsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Said made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Mook in the 56th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Sergen came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergen Sergen might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Rexino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergen Sergen ran back to his position shaking his head. Sergen Sergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Rexino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Attard Gunners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergen Sergen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Michael Testaferrata Olivier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Casper Sturkenboom. 90 minutes into the match, Michael Testaferrata Olivier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Rexino. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Testaferrata Olivier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Attard Gunners had won after a very even match.
