Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Traian Moldovan started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Cezary Chrzan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezary Chrzan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cezary Chrzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maksymilian Oliszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Oscar Giraldo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu stood somewhat misplaced when Roberto Lewandowski came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 41 minute. In the 46th minute, Cyryl Adamowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olimpiu Mustea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

51 minutes into the match, Phoenix Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Lewandowski came free, but Ionel Panaitoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Mustea in the 53rd minute of play forced SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Maksymilian Oliszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionel Panaitoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maksymilian Oliszewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Traian Moldovan in the 55th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Lewandowski in the 59th minute of the match. Ionel Panaitoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Lewandowski went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. SMOCZANKA MIELEC made a substitution. Bernard Cytrynski replaced Bertil Ekström. After 79 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Mustea. After some careless play in the Phoenix Strikers defense, Roberto Lewandowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. The Phoenix Strikers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionel Panaitoiu should have stopped the shot. Ionel Panaitoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Giraldo in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionel Panaitoiu saved Phoenix Strikers from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SMOCZANKA MIELEC fully deserved thier win.
