SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save SalentoUnited from getting a goal against them. SalentoUnited's Ergincan Suerkan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nick Daniels, made in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5thth minute of the game Frasier Huber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Mons's Connor Osmond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute Trevor Eubank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Nick Daniels got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Frasier Huber came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the SalentoUnited fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frasier Huber couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Igor Brandenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Puttemans. After 18 minutes of play, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Connor Osmond was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the game, Şeref Erez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Mons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SalentoUnited the free kick. Şeref Erez kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of SalentoUnited booed when SK Mons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chen Hai Zhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Frasier Huber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Osmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match SalentoUnited got a corner. SK Mons's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fidel Ciprella ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fidel Ciprella made a great header on SalentoUnited's corner, it was just that SK Mons's Connor Osmond managed to reach the ball for a save. Connor Osmond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frasier Huber in the 34th minute of play. Connor Osmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frasier Huber, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Puttemans in the 37th minute of play. After 44 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Nick Daniels. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frasier Huber to strike the kick off in the second half. SK Mons's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Frasier Huber scored to the left of an out of position Connor Osmond, making the score, 0-3. 55 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Frasier Huber came free, but Connor Osmond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Brandenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Daniels, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Igor Brandenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Puttemans in the 59th minute of play. Connor Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frasier Huber in the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Ergincan Suerkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Connor Osmond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SK Mons's Leif Olofsson was substituted for Bogumil Czapski. In the 70th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Van Aken to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SK Mons getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Luka Van Aken hit a great ball. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Eubank in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Leif Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Brandenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Ulici in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kari Fortunin to maneuver through the defense. SalentoUnited were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after SK Mons's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fidel Ciprella took the corner. After taking down the ball on SalentoUnited's corner Fidel Ciprella fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Connor Osmond quite easily take care of the ball. After 91 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Luka Van Aken. 94 minutes into the game, Urbano Hotz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Connor Osmond. Urbano Hotz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The SK Mons fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SalentoUnited were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
