With a little luck, SK Mons's Connor Osmond got control of the ball when Hans-Jürgen Nudelman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samyang Ramen's goalkeeper Alex Wållander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 21 minutes on the clock, Gust Van Dijck commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of SK Mons:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Samyang Ramen:s goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Bogumil Czapski sped through Samyang Ramen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Wållander. The supporters of SK Mons booed when Samyang Ramen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Melker Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Trevor Eubank made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trevor Eubank in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Wållander prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
