Cristobal Goito was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute Alessandro do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Curt Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Susara in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Goito saved Carabata Groove from getting behind. Cristobal Goito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curt Montes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zézinho Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Domeka in the 15th minute. Cristobal Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curt Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Carabata Groove defense, Curt Montes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristobal Goito. The Carabata Groove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Goito should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Opilano in the 42nd minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curt Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curt Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute of the match, Nemesio Opilano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zézinho Simões saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When MarquinhosEC's Alessandro do Valle in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carabata Groove's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Alessandro do Valle put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cristobal Goito. Carabata Groove made a substitution. Herbert Pilipiec replaced Nemesio Opilano. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hauk Hareide stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristobal Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hauk Hareide in the 59th minute of play. Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Carabata Groove from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Cristobal Goito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteve Quinto. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when Carabata Groove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Atroce didn't get a good kick on the ball. MarquinhosEC's Rubinho Valle was substituted for Esteve Quinto. 68 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Freitas came free, but Cristobal Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, MarquinhosEC's Cristobal Goito threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Inácio Freitas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hauk Hareide in the 75th minute of play. Hauk Hareide might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zézinho Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hauk Hareide ran back to his position shaking his head. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hauk Hareide in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Hauk Hareide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Goito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Porto in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Valle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Freitas in the 92nd minute of play forced Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Cristobal Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, MarquinhosEC's Cristobal Goito threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Inácio Freitas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle sounded MarquinhosEC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carabata Groove.
