In the 17th minute of the match Stat Veritas FC got a corner. Blue avalanche's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omurtag Púrvulov got free with Mauricio Erramun in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st match minute, Stat Veritas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pepe Argento to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanislav Búlgarov in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Erramun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauricio Erramun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Búlgarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mohamad Salah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Erramun having to interfere. If Ciriaco Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Tanio to make the kick off. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stat Veritas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
