Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cintya Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Hoberg United were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after SAO JOANENSE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaroslaw Teofila took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Cintya Palacios managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cintya Palacios in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Carlos Eduardo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego got control of the ball when Cintya Palacios tried to sneak it across the goal line. Louis Bullock kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Júnior Maciel hit a great ball. Cintya Palacios might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Lamego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cintya Palacios ran back to his position shaking his head. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cintya Palacios in the 16th minute of play. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balázs Sebes in the 26th minute of play. If Balázs Sebes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessandro Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Martins having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Hoberg United's Cintya Palacios ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Lamego. Amadeu Lamego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 36th minute, Cintya Palacios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hoberg United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cintya Palacios in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cintya Palacios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Amadeu Lamego made a huge save. The supporters of Hoberg United booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balázs Sebes to make the kick off. Cintya Palacios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cintya Palacios in the 55th minute of play. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cintya Palacios's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Cintya Palacios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Balázs Sebes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Amadeu Lamego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cintya Palacios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Lamego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balázs Sebes in the 69th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's Balázs Sebes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Lamego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the SAO JOANENSE FC defense, Cintya Palacios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Lamego. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Lamego should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in SAO JOANENSE FC's zone, Cintya Palacios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal and Cintya Palacios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute Cintya Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cintya Palacios in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hoberg United's Claudio-Paul Pirinchev quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Júnior Maciel, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Cintya Palacios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cintya Palacios in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Alcântara came free, but Dida Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Balázs Sebes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
