A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jairo Dante hit a great ball. Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Fiúza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedito Fiúza's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Llavallol FC's Benedito Fiúza in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After taking down the ball on Llavallol FC's corner Dante Marino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amadeu Lamego quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percy Medeiros in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAO JOANENSE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dante Marino was slow to take the kick. During this time Llavallol FC's players had a chance to rest. Llavallol FC's Dante Marino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeu Lamego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedito Fiúza in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. After 35 minutes, Dante Marino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llavallol FC and the SAO JOANENSE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion got control of the ball when Luisinho Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. SAO JOANENSE FC were furious when Carlos Esteves was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in SAO JOANENSE FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Medeiros in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Llavallol FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Benedito Fiúza made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Llavallol FC's Percy Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Lamego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Alcântara in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Alessandro Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Fiúza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Amadeu Lamego made a huge save. The corner ended in Lisandro Martinez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego did a great save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lisandro Martinez put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeu Lamego. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Llavallol FC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Llavallol FC's Percy Medeiros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
