After 9 played minutes Sepsiszentgyörgy got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Bârsan. The audience was convinced that Dinu Augustin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Higuita was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Dinu Augustin kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Nate Drakenborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Aro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Ekblom came free, but Harry Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sepsiszentgyörgy booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Muntian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nate Drakenborg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Kjell Ennegren made a huge save. Sepsiszentgyörgy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Nate Drakenborg scored to the left of an out of position Kjell Ennegren, making the score, 1-0. In the 33rd minute, Nate Drakenborg made a precise shot to the right of Kjell Ennegren. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Kjell Ennegren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 42nd minute Pavel Bosioc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nate Drakenborg made a kick off. Kjell Ennegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sune Svartengren's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Nate Drakenborg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjell Ennegren having to make a save. Aro FC's Harry Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Aro FC from getting a goal against them. Aro FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Sepsiszentgyörgy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Errikos Tsagaris took the corner. After taking down the ball on Aro FC's corner Nate Drakenborg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kjell Ennegren quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66th minute Aro FC were awarded a corner. Errikos Tsagaris went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Errikos Tsagaris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kjell Ennegren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Errikos Tsagaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kjell Ennegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aro FC's Nate Drakenborg in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sepsiszentgyörgy's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute Aro FC were awarded a corner. Errikos Tsagaris went to the cornerflag to take it. 91 minutes into the match, Aro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alaa Ciobica came free, but Harry Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Aro FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dinu Augustin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sepsiszentgyörgy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aro FC.
