The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Thibaut Giret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Djimmy Bonnefont was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fierce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LRCA Office Club the free kick. Djimmy Bonnefont hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Thibaut Giret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slawomir Czerwinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes, Hocine Lamand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fierce and the LRCA Office Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fierce fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! After 31 played minutes Fierce got a freekick which was hit by Thibaut Giret. 47 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Bocelli came free, but Slawomir Czerwinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Patrido to make the kick off. Toke Chute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hocine Lamand kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 minutes, Hélder Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LRCA Office Club and the Fierce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélder Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Slawomir Czerwinski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Djimmy Bonnefont went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. LRCA Office Club made a substitution. Eliézer Leite replaced Gustavino Gómez. After a defensive mix-up in Fierce's zone, Arnaldo Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-François Baudu came out of the goal and Arnaldo Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Bocelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Eduardo Quadros charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Quadros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes LRCA Office Club got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Quadros. In the 86th minute Maximilien Vaslin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-François Baudu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-François Baudu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilien Vaslin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-François Baudu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Mota's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. LRCA Office Club's Maximilien Vaslin got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LRCA Office Club made a substitution. Délio Meireles replaced David Söderlund. LRCA Office Club's Arnaldo Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LRCA Office Club's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fierce had won, even though LRCA Office Club had held more of the ball.
