Rafael Dallris came out of the goal and Doug Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mixto Esporte Clube's Clemente Peixoto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by João Adolfo Mota, made in the 20th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Mixto Esporte Clube's Miguel Santos got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the Mixto Esporte Clube defense, Doug Bermudez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Dallris. The Mixto Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Dallris should have stopped the shot. Aquilino Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerry Dejonckheere went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Doug Bermudez in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rafael Dallris, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 32nd minute Doug Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Dallris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Dallris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Gizon in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Doug Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Dallris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Doug Bermudez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Dallris was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when Los Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doug Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
