After 24 played minutes Highway to Hell got a freekick which was hit by Sultan Shalan. In the 25th minute of the match Anastasio Gizon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Panos Papadimos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Doug Bermudez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Panos Papadimos made a huge save. Panos Papadimos made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Doug Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. Aquilino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habib Al Zamel, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Los Diablos Rojos's Aquilino Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Koboropoulos in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Habib Al Zamel came free, but Aquilino Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Highway to Hell were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Los Diablos Rojos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Makis Kanatidis took the corner. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doug Bermudez was the one to do the kick off. Aquilino Aguilera was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Habib Al Zamel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Habib Al Zamel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Aquilino Aguilera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Makis Kanatidis in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Bermudez in the 60th minute of play forced Highway to Hell's goalkeeper Panos Papadimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Makis Kanatidis in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Kavalekas came free, but Aquilino Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Habib Al Zamels short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Aquilino Aguilera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Panos Papadimos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Mota in the 71st minute of the match. Los Diablos Rojos's Aquilino Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Koboropoulos in the 73rd minute of play. Doug Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Papadimos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Highway to Hell's Loukas Kavalekas got a free kick in the 75th minute. Loukas Kavalekas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Highway to Hell got a corner. Los Diablos Rojos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Makis Kanatidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Thodoris Kavalaris managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Highway to Hell's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
