The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sidney Joannes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zarando Lastras having to make a save. Zarando Lastras came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Municipales FC's Sidney Joannes. But to his dismay, Sidney Joannes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Sidney Joannes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Municipales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Joannes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarando Lastras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quentin Gonzalez got free with Pipis Culot in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd match minute, Municipales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto-Carlos Ligero to maneuver through the defense. Quentin Gonzalez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pipis Culot firmly grabbed it by the left post. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Joannes in the 25th minute of play. Zarando Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Joannes in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Joannes in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zarando Lastras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Joannes in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zarando Lastras saved Atlético Maravilla from getting behind. Eliodor Oroveanu hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Sidney Joannes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarando Lastras. Atlético Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Joannes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Anders Söderlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Maravilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Anders Söderlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pipis Culot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelito Di Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zhang Zhen Yin kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Quentin Gonzalez in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pipis Culot, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Sidney Joannes made the kick off in the second half. Municipales FC made a substitution. Borja Iglesias replaced Sidney Joannes. In the 58th match minute, Atlético Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vykan Passarelli to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borja Iglesias. When Patricio Lluterio came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Municipales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Lluterio couldn't finish the play. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Maravilla from getting a goal against them. Pipis Culot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo de Queiroz in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borja Iglesias got free with Zarando Lastras in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atlético Maravilla made a substitution. Shawn Seracino Inglott replaced Dionisio Hidalgo. In the 75th minute of the match Municipales FC got a corner. Atlético Maravilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto-Carlos Ligero ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Municipales FC's Eliodor Oroveanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Zarando Lastras despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Patricio Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pipis Culot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borja Iglesias in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zarando Lastras saved Atlético Maravilla from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borja Iglesias got free with Zarando Lastras in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 minutes Atlético Maravilla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto-Carlos Ligero who took care of the corner kick. 93 minutes into the match, Borja Iglesias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zarando Lastras, 0-3. The Atlético Maravilla supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Municipales FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Municipales FC.
