The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spartak de Txurdi made a substitution. Regis Jaen replaced Nickolas Horemans. Åke Utter made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Flavio Tanio immediately put the ball in play. The Spartak de Txurdi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Independiente's performance. The match ended with a win for Independiente.
