Ermegildo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jernej Petrovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Xurxo Lagunas made a precise shot to the right of Konstantin Pančur. HIT Gorica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Konstantin Pančur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xurxo Lagunas's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that David Valverde got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Konstantin Pančur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Asturcones d´la Abadía's zone, Zlatko Goričan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Delgado came out of the goal and Zlatko Goričan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goal looked a bit too open when Xurxo Lagunas came free, but Konstantin Pančur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brite McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asturcones d´la Abadía's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Valverde in the 30th minute. Alejandro Fernandez made a great header on Asturcones d´la Abadía's corner, it was just that HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur managed to reach the ball for a save. After 32 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Duško Turnšek. Duško Turnšek's late challenge caught a Asturcones d´la Abadía's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duško Turnšek helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Asturcones d´la Abadía booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duško Turnšek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zlatko Goričan got free with Ermegildo Delgado in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Asturcones d´la Abadía were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after HIT Gorica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Valverde took the corner. Alejandro Fernandez hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Xurxo Lagunas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstantin Pančur was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Xurxo Lagunas notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur. Konstantin Pančur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filomeno Tormes made a kick off. Konstantin Pančur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurxo Lagunas in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Asturcones d´la Abadía got a corner. HIT Gorica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Valverde ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ermegildo Delgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zlatko Goričan's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes, CJ Desailly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HIT Gorica and the Asturcones d´la Abadía players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, HIT Gorica's CJ Desailly got a free kick in the 65th minute. A hard shot by David Valverde from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Konstantin Pančur's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 70th minute of the match, Filomeno Tormes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Konstantin Pančur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Filomeno Tormes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. HIT Gorica's László Tar was substituted for Zlatko Goričan. After a rather tough play, HIT Gorica's Oleg Cetinja got a free kick in the 77th minute. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Enetz Carballeira was substituted for Filomeno Tormes. Oleg Cetinja hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Xurxo Lagunas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Istok Šabotić took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ermegildo Delgado. Ermegildo Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xurxo Lagunas in the 91st minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Konstantin Pančur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstantin Pančur didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. The Asturcones d´la Abadía supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Asturcones d´la Abadía would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
