Konstantin Pančur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilhelm Trulsson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Konstantin Pančur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gottlieb Hammer's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Gottlieb Hammer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konstantin Pančur having to make a save. Karsten Zielinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duško Turnšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some careless play in the HIT Gorica defense, Gottlieb Hammer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konstantin Pančur. The HIT Gorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konstantin Pančur should have stopped the shot. With his leg Konstantin Pančur managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Balus Treter's Gottlieb Hammer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Karsten Zielinski came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by HIT Gorica's Istok Šabotić. But to his dismay, Istok Šabotić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. HIT Gorica made a substitution. László Tar replaced Zlatko Goričan. 81 minutes into the game, Balus Treter's Gottlieb Hammer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantin Pančur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.
