Malcolm Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Bălanescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute of the match DINAMO PLOIESTI got a corner. Pauliström's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zlatan Ibrahimov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Malcolm Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Bălanescu in the 14th minute of play. DINAMO PLOIESTI were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Pauliström's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zlatan Ibrahimov took the corner. The corner led DINAMO PLOIESTI's Zlatan Ibrahimov to fire away a dangerous shot which Malcolm Wall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Bălanescu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Wall saved Pauliström from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pauliström's Rune Koch got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, George Bălanescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that George Bălanescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Malcolm Wall was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Pauliström's goal looked a bit too open when George Bălanescu came free, but Malcolm Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Folke Melin in the 34th minute. In the 35th match minute, Pauliström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Björk to maneuver through the defense. Malcolm Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Bălanescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Malcolm Wall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Bălanescu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, George Bălanescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. DINAMO PLOIESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but George Bălanescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Wall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malcolm Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Bălanescu in the 44th minute of the match. Michael Runberg charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Runberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Michael Runberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Bălanescu made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Pauliström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Högberg to maneuver through the defense. George Bălanescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Malcolm Wall made a huge save. After 60 played minutes Pauliström got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Björk. With a little luck, Pauliström's Malcolm Wall got control of the ball when George Bălanescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Bălanescu in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Wall saved Pauliström from getting behind. In the 67th minute DINAMO PLOIESTI were awarded a corner. George Bălanescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Florentin Petre's late challenge caught a Pauliström's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florentin Petre helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Folke Melin in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos-Evangelista Didarov saved DINAMO PLOIESTI from getting behind. Malcolm Wall made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Bălanescu in the 74th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Pauliström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Melin to maneuver through the defense. George Bălanescus short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Malcolm Wall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Pauliström's zone, Kunter Irmak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Wall came out of the goal and Kunter Irmak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the DINAMO PLOIESTI players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
