Isótopos V.M.'s Pedro Domingues managed to work through ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Pedro Domingues dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 8 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viriato Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egemen Tuna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ignacio Di Stasi made a huge save. Domingo Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Cruz having to interfere. Viriato Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isótopos V.M.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Kyriakos Georgopoulos scored to the left of an out of position Ignacio Di Stasi, making the score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the game, Taribo West cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Viriato Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Viriato Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Domingues came free, but Viriato Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viriato Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Domingo Oihenarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Oihenarte in the 41st minute of play. Viriato Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Domingues was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's goalkeeper Viriato Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Domingues. After 65 minutes of play, Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viriato Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Taribo West took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Cruz. Viriato Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albeiro Usuriaga got free with Viriato Cruz in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's goalkeeper Viriato Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match Isótopos V.M. got a corner. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Taribo West ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Isótopos V.M.'s corner Taribo West fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Viriato Cruz quite easily take care of the ball. Iosif Briolas tried in the 81st minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Viriato Cruz a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-5. Albeiro Usuriaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viriato Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
