In the 14th minute Albeiro Usuriaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Carlsson came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Richard Neto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ignacio Di Stasi. Ignacio Di Stasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino do Valle in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Taribo West. Pedro Dominguess short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Daniël De Goeij to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ignacio Di Stasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino do Valle in the 44th minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Isótopos V.M. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orvar Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. Isótopos V.M.'s Ignacio Di Stasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino do Valle in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gino do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limoeiro-PE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Di Stasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Domingues to make the kick off. Daniël De Goeij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Domingues in the 54th minute of play. Isótopos V.M. were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Limoeiro-PE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Taribo West took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Taribo West got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniël De Goeij quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albeiro Usuriaga in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniël De Goeij prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Limoeiro-PE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Taribo West was slow to take the kick. During this time Isótopos V.M.'s players had a chance to rest. Isótopos V.M.'s Taribo West was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniël De Goeij in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Luís Fabiano Fontes got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Fontes hit a great ball. Taribo West's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Daniël De Goeij - 2-1 was put on the score board in the 74th minute. After 79 played minutes Isótopos V.M. got a freekick which was hit by Gustaw Jaraczeski. 82 minutes into the game, Domingo Oihenarte threw the ball into play from the sideline. Limoeiro-PE FC's Robert Lozovan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taribo West in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Isótopos V.M. were awarded a corner. Taribo West went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Isótopos V.M.'s Taribo West to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniël De Goeij despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulgencio Matia during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Isótopos V.M. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Matia to maneuver through the defense. If Albeiro Usuriaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Limoeiro-PE FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
