Prospero Goethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Martínez in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Jamal Roye lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rambo Ramírez. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jona Hegekötter during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jona Hegekötter kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Prospero Goethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Martínez in the 14th minute of play. Rambo Ramírez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamal Roye in the 15th minute. Rambo Ramírez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermann Luscher in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Hermann Luscher came free, but Rambo Ramírez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Martínez in the 29th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Hermann Luscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rambo Ramírez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pablo Solari hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Friesenwerdermoor defense, Rubén Martínez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Goethe. The Friesenwerdermoor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Goethe should have stopped the shot. Jamal Roye's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rambo Ramírez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Colo-Colo's Rambo Ramírez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermann Luscher in the 45th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco-Antonio Etcheverry during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When Jona Hegekötter was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. In the 53rd match minute, Friesenwerdermoor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jona Hegekötter to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Friesenwerdermoor's Prospero Goethe got control of the ball when Rubén Martínez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rubén Martínez struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Prospero Goethe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colo-Colo. Prospero Goethe made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rubén Martínez sent off a good shot on target. Colo-Colo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Droguett in the 60th minute. A nice corner shot did that Honorio Droguett got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Prospero Goethe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Prospero Goethe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubén Martínez went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Tom Gerster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rambo Ramírez having to interfere. Rubén Martínez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Goethe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Rubén Martínez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Prospero Goethe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Friesenwerdermoor's Prospero Goethe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Friesenwerdermoor from getting a goal against them. Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamal Roye in the 75th minute of the match. Friesenwerdermoor's Pekin Energin was substituted for Lennard Rossmanith. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Ivo Basay replaced Rubén Martínez. Gerhard Neoral made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colo-Colo's José Julio Almeida. Ivo Basay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Goethe having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ivo Basay took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Prospero Goethe to make any attempt to save it.
