The corner led Astra Krotoszyn's Radomir Mojsiewicz to fire away a dangerous shot which Efim Fedotov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match, Stepan Holodovskiy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leon Piekarczyk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th minute Roman Bolshakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Piekarczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Szczepan Kempka came free, but Efim Fedotov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Piekarczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Bolshakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szczepan Kempka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Efim Fedotov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Astra Krotoszyn booed when STORM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rostislav Averchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. STORM made a substitution. Rudolf Veryugin replaced Raimundo Librado. After 44 played minutes STORM got a freekick which was hit by Rostislav Averchenko. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

STORM's Mathis Plum was substituted for Leonid Sokolov. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Szczepan Kempka made a kick off. STORM's Mathis Plum was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leon Piekarczyk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, STORM's Efim Fedotov got control of the ball when Szczepan Kempka tried to sneak it across the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 61st minute, but Efim Fedotov got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving STORM hanging dry this time. Efim Fedotov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Szczepan Kempka in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Sergey Blynskih was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STORM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astra Krotoszyn the free kick. In the 74th match minute, STORM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigoriy Agapov to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Astra Krotoszyn getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ajaz Sulstarova hit a great ball. Szczepan Kempka's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Efim Fedotov firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leon Piekarczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stepan Holodovskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Stepan Holodovskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Piekarczyk was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Szczepan Kempka came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Efim Fedotov could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Szczepan Kempka got free with Efim Fedotov in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Astra Krotoszyn's attentive Jaime Pineda managed to snatch the ball when Genrikh Goloulin made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The STORM fans cheered their team off the field, for while Astra Krotoszyn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
