The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AC Collins getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Didi Valletta hit a great ball. Billy Sandström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Donato Foddis made a huge save. Carlo Maestri's late challenge caught a BANDOLEIROS osasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Maestri helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute of the game Carlo Maestri made a throw-in which Slawomir Soszka played forward. In the 19thth minute of the game Pekko Rino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donato Foddis was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Billy Sandström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Billy Sandström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Benedito Valentim got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, AC Collins's Pekko Rino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Pilgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donato Foddis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Sandström in the 34th minute. After 36 minutes of play, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Billy Sandström made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Foddis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute Mel Önen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes, Mel Önen made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mel Önen made a kick off. Billy Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Donato Foddis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BANDOLEIROS osasco made a substitution. José Augusto Nóbrega replaced Ziemowit Haskiewicz. In the 64th match minute, AC Collins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Maestri to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, AC Collins's Carlo Maestri got a free kick in the 65th minute. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mel Önen in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Peter Paul Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Foddis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Paul Crouch in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Foddis saved AC Collins from getting behind. Karl Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Di Toma in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Peter Paul Crouch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Foddis. AC Collins's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Paul Crouch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 91 minutes into the match, Peter Paul Crouch notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of AC Collins's Donato Foddis. Donato Foddis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren got control of the ball when Perivaldo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Perivaldo Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Karl Pilgren made a huge save. BANDOLEIROS osasco's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
