In the 6th minute Cesare Romano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Teodoro Chale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leon Meyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pieter-Jan van der Laan kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Leon Meyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesare Romano went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 31 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Romano. Leon Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Rudi den Hartog's late challenge caught a Santoryu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudi den Hartog helped the player get up and apologised. Leon Meyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesare Romano's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After the first half Santoryu FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesare Romano made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Santoryu FC's Grzegorz Grzelak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Santoryu FC's Cesare Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes of play, Santoryu FC's Grzegorz Grzelak made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Meyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Santoryu FC's Teodoro Chale in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zijdewind SC's goalie prevented a goal. Zijdewind SC's Leon Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Zijdewind SC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 68 minutes, Grzegorz Grzelak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santoryu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grzegorz Grzelak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santoryu FC's Frank Andreassi was substituted for Amerigo Minicucci. Santoryu FC's Andrea Muciaccia was substituted for Elia Strano. Cesare Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santoryu FC's attentive Fausto Rosetta managed to snatch the ball when Ferdi Dekens made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Leon Meyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Grzegorz Grzelak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leon Meyer. Grzegorz Grzelak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Santoryu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Muciaccia in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Rein van Steensel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zijdewind SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santoryu FC the free kick. In the 84th minute, Rein van Steensel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Nero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Meyer having to interfere. Grzegorz Grzelak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leon Meyer came out and tried to block the shot, but Grzegorz Grzelak slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 88th minute. Santoryu FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
