The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Václav Filipi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Mei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Carlos Mei kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 11thth minute. Though ot was a great shot ATLETICO MENDOZA's keeper Václav Filipi was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Gentza, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Gentza came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Václav Filipi was a little too slow when Carlos Mei got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 25th minute, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Carlos Mei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Ruy in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Václav Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match, Ediberto de Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Václav Filipi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Carlos Mei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Václav Filipi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Haimar in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Mei made a kick off. Carlos Mei struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Václav Filipi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely. Lyle Coppack stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Gentza's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. A nice corner shot did that 庞思傲 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lyle Coppack quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 63rd minute, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Jose Chale ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lyle Coppack. Lyle Coppack yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Ruy in the 71st minute of play. When Arnaldo Musko fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATLETICO MENDOZA's protests and gave Arnaldo Musko a yellow card for diving instead. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Juanito Azulay was substituted for Baldomiro Enol. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu replaced Ferdinand Zmărăndache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mei in the 76th minute of play forced ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Václav Filipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, ATLETICO MENDOZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Ruy to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Mei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Václav Filipi having to make a save. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 91st minute of play.
