Loco Durazno might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corrado Spitaleri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loco Durazno ran back to his position shaking his head. Corrado Spitaleri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Durazno in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebben Johansson in the 24th minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Golden Lions FC got a corner. Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Georg Termander ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Georg Termander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Corrado Spitaleri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loco Durazno in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corrado Spitaleri saved Borgo Doria F.C. from getting behind. When Fabio Bottone fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Doria F.C.'s protests and gave Fabio Bottone a yellow card for diving instead. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Leo Strömbom replaced Sigvard Dahlkvist. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Borgo Doria F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Bottone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corrado Spitaleri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corrado Spitaleri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Golden Lions FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loco Durazno to make the kick off. Basri Özyurt hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Loco Durazno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Corrado Spitaleri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Loco Durazno came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Golden Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loco Durazno couldn't finish the play. Golden Lions FC made a substitution.
