In the 15th minute of the match Golden Lions FC got a corner. Alejandra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Georg Termander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Lain in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute Federico Girotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Loco Durazno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurinho Terra. Alejandra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loco Durazno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Alejandra's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Maurinho Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Alejandra's Maurinho Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebben Johansson in the 62nd minute of play forced Alejandra's goalkeeper Maurinho Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loco Durazno to maneuver through the defense. Golden Lions FC's İbrahim Efe Topdemir was substituted for Marcelo Steven. Golden Lions FC's Mats Nyström was substituted for Georg Termander. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Loco Durazno. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Loco Durazno hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Burç Tokhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Girotti in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burç Tokhan in the 81st minute of play forced Alejandra's goalkeeper Maurinho Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Alejandra defense, Burç Tokhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurinho Terra. The Alejandra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurinho Terra should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Anders Lundqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Burç Tokhan in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurinho Terra saved Alejandra from getting behind. Maurinho Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burç Tokhan in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alejandra players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Lions FC.
