Edward Västerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Carlinhos Freitas made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Edward Västerberg notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas. Carlinhos Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Karl Berg in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AA GUARULHOS's Aleksejs Vērīgais. Sebastián Torrico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remigio Finlay went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes C.F.Fuenlabrada got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Esdras. In the 38th minute, Karl Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to C.F.Fuenlabrada getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lázaro Lauren hit a great ball. The supporters of AA GUARULHOS booed when C.F.Fuenlabrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball.

C.F.Fuenlabrada's Aquilino Luke was substituted for Laureano Perfecto. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Västerberg was the one to do the kick off. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Finlay in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Aleksejs Vērīgais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Porfirio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind AA GUARULHOS's goalkeeper Carlinhos Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Edward Västerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastián Torrico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Porfirio in the 75th minute. 81 minutes into the match, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlinhos Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game Remigio Finlay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.F.Fuenlabrada's Sebastián Torrico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Lance Cabezas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AA GUARULHOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lance Cabezas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to AA GUARULHOS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nilton Ramalho hit a great ball. In the 98th minute Edward Västerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AA GUARULHOS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
