With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Jurdan in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Rinaldi saved Elegance Dijon from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Alfonso came free, but Dave Rinaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Folkert Vos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabien Cantin was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Franco Alfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Alfonso couldn't finish the play. Franco Alfonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Dave Rinaldi made a huge save. The The Masters supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Masters would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
