José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute, Mazinho Mazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Vítor Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Mazza in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilmar Couto made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mazinho Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Hermanos CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Vítor Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Botafogo MZRJ made a substitution. Isaltino Gomes replaced Gilvan Falcão.
