Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Franco Alfonso kicked off to start the match. Jair Busquets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Vítor Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jair Busquets in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto got control of the ball when Jair Busquets tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Franco Alfonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Masters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to The Masters getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Severino Cebo hit a great ball. A hard shot 22 in the game by Franco Alfonso from a close distance when the talented José Vítor Netto managed to make a qualified save. Botafogo MZRJ's players were relieved. 24 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Jurdan came free, but José Vítor Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folkert Vos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Jurdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. José Vítor Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Federico Jurdan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Vítor Netto. Federico Jurdan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. José Vítor Netto was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Franco Alfonso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Franco Alfonso really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When Franco Alfonso came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the The Masters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Alfonso couldn't finish the play. José Vítor Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Alfonso went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Alfonso got free with José Vítor Netto in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Botafogo MZRJ defense, Franco Alfonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor Netto. The Botafogo MZRJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor Netto should have stopped the shot. Franco Alfonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franco Alfonso ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Alfonso in the 46th minute of play forced Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper José Vítor Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, The Masters's Franco Alfonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Vítor Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 55th minute The Masters were awarded a corner. José Luis Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jair Busquets got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Vítor Netto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 60th minute, Franco Alfonso made a precise shot to the right of José Vítor Netto. Botafogo MZRJ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. José Vítor Netto came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Masters's Franco Alfonso. But to his dismay, Franco Alfonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The Masters's Tobias Maju was substituted for Francisco Innocenzio. The Masters made a substitution. Francisco Tulio replaced Severino Cebo. Botafogo MZRJ's Álvaro Melo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Folkert Vos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Botafogo MZRJ's Antônio Lopez was substituted for Jailson Capixaba. If Federico Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folkert Vos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Couto in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Botafogo MZRJ's zone, Franco Alfonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Netto came out of the goal and Franco Alfonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper José Vítor Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antônio Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folkert Vos having to make a save.
