The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dida Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Alves in the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Tavares in the 3rd minute of play forced LauerArmy's goalkeeper Dida Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dida Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to LauerArmy getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. William Kock hit a great ball. Dida Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Tavares in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the LauerArmy defense, Alan Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Nascimento. The LauerArmy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Nascimento should have stopped the shot. Stefan Neubrandt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arí Pereira in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt got control of the ball when Arí Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arí Pereira in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Neubrandt saved Internazionale-RS from getting behind. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Michel Netto hit a great ball. Murilo Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Stefan Neubrandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Pereira in the 30th minute of play. Dida Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Tavares in the 32nd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in LauerArmy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Internazionale-RS. Pedro Augusto Alves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dida Nascimento. 0-3. Dida Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The LauerArmy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Internazionale-RS were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Cabral to make the kick off. Dida Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Augusto Alves in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Alan Tavares got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Stefan Neubrandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Murilo Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. LauerArmy made a substitution. Angelo Teixeira replaced William Kock. When Angelo Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LauerArmy's protests and gave Angelo Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. Angelo Teixeira hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. LauerArmy's Nilmar Barbosa was substituted for Willian Queirós. In the 80th minute, Angelo Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Cabral in the 84th minute of play. Pedro Augusto Alves took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Nascimento. Dida Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Cabral in the 95th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Stefan Neubrandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Internazionale-RS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
