In the 17th minute, Luiz Fábio Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrenta SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sydney Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Alberto in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Travassos in the 27th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Nestor Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Angelo Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sydney Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Falcão came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 51st minute, Hernani Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 52 minutes, Tiago Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granadero10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 57 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Barbosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Prata in the 61st minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Nestor Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Leite in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Gugu Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu Travassos in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Carioca saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. Remo Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Umberto Trigo's late challenge caught a Granadero10's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. Umberto Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Sandrinho Leite took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Carioca. Nestor Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 80thth minute of the game Gugu Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Inácio Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nestor Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiago Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
