The audience was convinced that Pau Gasol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Estebe was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo got a freekick which was hit by Amado Javiero. 37 minutes into the match, La Mora CAT's Martin Suy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 38th minute Tato Feria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Estebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nabucodonosor Rallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Feliciano Nataniel got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Lama in the 43rd minute of play forced Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Fabio Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tato Feria managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mora CAT's supporters rose to their feet, but Tato Feria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Estebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, La Mora CAT's Marco Jareño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Estebe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Mora CAT were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Bartolome made a kick off. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Pau Gasol scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Estebe, making the score, 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Nuevo Laredo's zone, Pau Gasol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Estebe came out of the goal and Pau Gasol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pau Gasol in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Estebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as La Mora CAT's Djoto Londaridze slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Estebe. That made the score 0-7 after 59 minutes of play. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Fabio Estebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nuevo Laredo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Lama in the 68th minute of play forced Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Fabio Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Claudio Lama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Mora CAT made a substitution. Ferrer Alcaraz replaced Ferrer Ramirez. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Fabio Estebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pau Gasol in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Marco Jareño notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Fabio Estebe. Fabio Estebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Estebe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Jareño in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Fabio Estebe got control of the ball when Marco Jareño tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Pau Gasol notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Fabio Estebe. Fabio Estebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Estebe made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Pau Gasol sent off a good shot on target. La Mora CAT played a much better game than Atlético Nuevo Laredo and deserved their victory. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
