A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Neil Mar hit a great ball. Serafim Reis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Rosický's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Mar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Rosický in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Francesco Fabregas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Esteves came free, but Vinnie Small reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleiton Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. With his leg Pedro Luís Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Clapham Comets F.C.'s Tom Rosický fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tom Rosický who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Luís Fernandez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Tom Rosický hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Tom Rosický dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When Francesco Fabregas came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Clapham Comets F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Fabregas couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Rosický to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Rosický in the 55th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Rosický went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Rosický in the 61st minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Moises Ioritz hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Brad Symons made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Marzagão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Tom Rosický had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Donny Watson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Tom Rosický kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Fernandez should have stopped the shot. Tom Rosický might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Rosický ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Tom Rosický left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clapham Comets F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. After 93 minutes, Donny Watson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clapham Comets F.C. and the Marzagão players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Donny Watson hit a great ball. César Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Tom Rosický got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clapham Comets F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
