Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Rosický to make the kick off. João Batista hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Miguel Ángel Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Francesco Fabregas sent off a good shot on target. Túlio Negri hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Fabregas during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Fabregas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Clapham Comets F.C.'s Brad Symons in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Miguel Ángel Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Watson in the 87th minute of play. Shaun Purkiss hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Clapham Comets F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
