They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mykyta Komar was the one to do the kick off. Jano Cavalcante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Anatoliy Strakhovskyi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deivid Barbosa's late challenge caught a Juventus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Deivid Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anatoliy Strakhovskyi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jano Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Celsinho de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Myroslav Matviychuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Timofeev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With his leg Anatoliy Strakhovskyi managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot by Clóvis Paraense from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Anatoliy Strakhovskyi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 69 minutes in the game, Jano Cavalcante dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some careless play in the Montevideo defense, Myroslav Matviychuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oleg Timofeev. The Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oleg Timofeev should have stopped the shot. Anatoliy Strakhovskyi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 3-3. Jano Cavalcante's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Anatoliy Strakhovskyi firmly grabbed it by the left post.
