The referee ignored F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's protests and gave Ovidiu Voicescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Voicescu. With a little luck, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Filip Bâru got control of the ball when Jonas Kalfhage tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filip Bâru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Abrahamsson in the 22nd minute of the match. Christer Kullander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calistrat Potopea's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Team Rocco's Christer Kullander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Potopea in the 25th minute of play. But to his dismay, Jonas Kalfhage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lennart Abrahamsson in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filip Bâru saved F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting behind. Filip Bâru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Abrahamsson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Calistrat Potopea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christer Kullander came out and tried to block the shot, but Calistrat Potopea slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 58th minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Team Rocco's goalkeeper Christer Kullander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Team Rocco's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dragoş Cordescu was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's players had a chance to rest. Calistrat Potopea made a great header on F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's corner, it was just that Team Rocco's Christer Kullander managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Team Rocco booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Baldovin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
